We chose a few charities that were important to the team in the office. We might update the list after each donation. As far as donating profit goes, we’ll choose the charity that got the most votes across a financial quarter and donate 5% of total profit from our business in that quarter. We’re also talking about increasing that donation amount, so keep an eye on these FAQs as we’ll sneaky update the figure if we get the boss over the line.
  • Why use a solicitor during the purchase process?
Solicitors are qualified lawyers, so they can offer a full range of legal services. Property transactions can vary a lot. Where some may be simple and can be handled by a licensed conveyancer, others have the potential to require more complex legal work – for example, defining the terms of a leasehold, updating a Family Trust, or resolving a dispute. It is crucial to assign somebody who is competent in their field.
  • When are you best to engage with one?
We recommend you find and sign up with your lawyer before you sign any agreement. Our advice is sooner, rather than later.
  • What does a solicitor do for you?
Property lawyers are experts. They will help make sure you understand the buying and/or selling process. Your lawyer can help you negotiate the price, settlement date and conditions to achieve the best outcome for you and to edit any proposed terms of the agreement, to ensure they don’t trip you up. They might also help you understand the loan documentation and the financial commitment you are making. We’ll do our best to help you find one that gives you independent advice, acts to protect your interests, knows potential pitfalls and traps, knows you and your personal circumstances (we’ll help with this), knows the law, understands how emotional and stressful buying and selling can be and is invested in helping steer you through it.
  • What are some average costs you can expect to pay?
